Web Hosting For Passive Income
We all like to work once and get paid many time – the elusive goal of passive income – is actually possible when you act as a hosting company for local businesses.
If you are located outside of the US – you will generally find that local hosting is expensive, far more expensive than US-based hosting. By working as a reseller you can offer a win-win: the local business gets a cheap, reliable hosting packages, and you as the go-between makes on-going income for not much more trouble than sending an invoice ever few months.
How does it work? Well first you need to sign up with something that is called reseller hosting. This is offered by most of the major hosting companies – I like hostgator.com myself but plenty of others offer the service.
A typical reseller hosting package will cost around $25/month – for that price – assuming that your local business gets very little traffic to their website – then you can literally host hundreds of businesses on the one $25/month package.
Sweet! Check out the local rates – but its likely that you will be able to charge $10 to $15/month plus local tax, for the service – per a client. Do the math – impresssive isn’t it- and once you have them set up you put the passive income on “easy”
